By IMAGO

In what seems to many of us to be the longest year in recent times, 2020 has been a year for learning, growth, compassion and boredom.

Against the backdrop of these obstacles came many moments of significance, changing the way we live, the way we think and challenging our culture with such force, into an era of change.

2020; the year of the protest, Black Lives Matter, environmental pressures, digitalisation advances and sadly, the dawn of the face mask.

Despite it all, IMAGO photographers have been on the frontlines capturing and preserving the moments that matter most for us. From pivotal moments in news and reportage, gripping political scenes and post-COVID ways to experience sport and entertainment, our creator community has been at the heart of it.

From a year like no other. From Pandemic to Protest. A year full of change, challenge, love, support and solidarity. Take a look back over the past 12 months with the IMAGO year in review.
